Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas and raised in the state. She became a TV host on the talk show daytime The Talk. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of a very troubled background. She was a lot of her life looking after Frankie. Frankie suffered from an illness called polio. While growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mother. Sheryl states that one time she cut her father's hair because he got too close. After her graduation from college, Sheryl became a military officer. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the only female who made it to the competition in 1989 Miller Lite Comedy Search. She started her TV career when she was regularly performing at The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. She has appeared as host on The Talk since 2011. She has also appeared as an unnamed character on shows like Bulworth Nicki as well as Beauty Shop.
