Ky-ManiHis third untitled album is nearly complete, Ky-mani is definitely a star on his own. In February of 1976 Ky-mani was conceived to the famous Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican T.A. One Love starred Ky-mani as Kassa. The compelling story of the conscious reggae performer that is battling corruption within the industry of music. The life of the singer is altered after he meets a young girl from a local church with beautiful voice. This film, yet to see theaters, has been praised by critics as well as film festivals everywhere. Frank Flowers directed the feature film Haven which Ky-Mani just finished. It features Bill Paxton, Orlando Bloom and is directed by Frank Flowers. Haven premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. The actor is also set to reprise his lead part as the lead character in Shottas II that will begin production in 2004.He was only five years old of age when his father passed away however, Ky-Mani's voice will take you back to an extremely familiar spot. The lyrics of his song, which take one back to the historical reggae's greatest, is "one love. one aim. One goal." Anita Belnavis (Falmouth, Jamaica) was an able tennis champion. In Jamaica, the East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler" Each album, or even a trip, is an adventure. His musical voyage began in 1999 when he released The Journey. A multi-faceted vision, Ky-mani found his voice while exploring the entire musical spectrum to discover his numerous talent. Many More Roads (Grammy nominated) was Ky-mani's "traditional" reggae release. The album brought out Kymani's mature self. Many More Roads and The Journey was well-received throughout the world. This solidified Ky-mani's status as an independent artist. Ky-Mani's sound is a mixture of roots reggae , interspersed with hip-hop R&B as well as contemporary jazz.
