Summer Glau
Glau's first television appearance was as a ballerina in a guest role in the 2002 episode on the television series Angel. She was discovered by director JossWhedon. She was eventually picked her to play River Tam in the critically-acclaimed TV series Firefly. The role she played was also reprised for Serenity's feature film sequel. Glau had previously tried to audition for the role of an Power Ranger (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssa Erile) in Power Rangers Wild Force but was defeated by the actress Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon.Glau appeared in the episode "Love Conquers Al" from the TV series Cold Case. She was the role of Shelly who was a high school senior in the episode Sleepover. She also appeared in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" " Season 2 of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the boyfriend of Jeremy Erhart). Glau played Tess Doerner (a paranoid, schizophrenia-prone returnee) in the second season of The 4400. From season three, she became a regular character. Mammoth was her horror-comedy role. Glau was in The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV film. Glau played Cameron Phillips who was a Terminator-infiltrating unit that was that was sent back to Skynet to defend John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The seventh episode of the series, "The Demon Hand" included several scenes that featured Glau in character as Cameron performs in ballet. In the second season's episode "Allison From Palmdale" (season 2), Glau played Allison Young her human doppelganger. Glau played herself in an CBS episode in 2009 of The Big Bang Theory's situation comedy.
